Rediculous VW bus stickers

Since I got the vinyl cutter, I’ve been going nuts with stickers.

You can see above the concept I came up with for the bus, as well as a picture of the final product at a show. A friend brought her pig and we happened to snap this picture.

Junk construction

I’ve always been obsessed with reusing/ upcycling stuff. This isn’t limited to electronics bits. I recently built a chicken coop from scrap. I also found that I’m not the only one. Tiny yellow houses is a series about Derek, who builds scrap dwellings. These are great. I’ve spoken with him and will definitely be getting his book.

Bought a vinyl cutter

sticker

I bought a vinyl cutter. I’m very pleased with how clean and detailed it cuts. My bus will be covered in stickers in no time!

bumper stickers

been to lazy to upload new stuff. here are some bumper stickers I’m working on. Neither are quite finished.

i want to make this instrument

Its a barrel organ that is programmable. This means the pegs on the barrel are removable. The 4 pipes are for flames, controlled by the barrel as well.

You can see the basic idea here. It isn’t really to scale, or showing any system for the flame valves (I don’t know how that would work yet). [UPDATE] here are 2 more images to show the action. The xylophone action and the flame valve action. I would like it to be purely mechanical, though I may have to resort to electronic means.

You can also see a 3d rendering of the inner workings here. Again, not very detailed, just toying with ideas.

I doubt I’ll ever really get this thing together, but it would be neat wouldn’t it?

sculpting practice and some sketches

sculpting practice

I needed to practice sculpting a bit. I haven’t touched zbrush in forever. I really wanted to do some real sculpting, but all I have right now is sculpy.

I’ve added some pictures to the galleries, just some sketches and stuff.

here’s a quick sketch I did of a young boy. I think it is Winston Churchill

This video was embedded using the YouTuber plugin by Roy Tanck. Adobe Flash Player is required to view the video.

I hadn’t touched photoshop in a while. I felt like I needed to refresh. This is maybe 30 min of work.

More sketching

pugs and stuff, gallery to be updated soon.

A doodle on lunch

I like pugs. There is actually a peculiar correlation between vw enthusiasts and pugs. go to a VW show or campout. you WILL see pugs. This was roughly 20 min of goofing around. No reference or anything.

Zombies in miniature #1: “have a nice trip”

tiny zombies
This is the first of a series of HO scale dioramas I want to do. This one is titled “have a nice trip” as the only non zombie appears to have just tripped while trying to escape.

The picture doesn’t quite convey how tiny these are. two of these little guys could lay on my fingernail, comfortably.
